Teach
Whether through opera workshops, one-to-one lessons or rehabilitation, I’m here for those who believe the voice can be a canal to find power & joy.
I work with every individual uniquely, to find the voice to match the intention, bringing the storytelling of music to life.
Royal Ballet & Opera
Pamela has been a Create and Sing Artist for the Royal Ballet and Opera since 2021, where her role includes narrating operas on the main stage, conducting large-scale performances of children singing, and devising and delivering warm-ups and workshops. She frequently appears in national broadcasts and her videos and workshops have been seen by thousands of children across the UK.
RBO commissioned Pamela to design the vocal warm-ups and song-learning videos for the official Magic Flute resources, blending evidence-based pedagogy and storytelling, and now they have asked her to do the same for their new Carmen resources.
Other work for RBO includes leading the singing for Create Day, leading workshops for Family Sundays, giving singing lessons to the RBO Youth Opera Company, and supervising the children’s chorus in rehearsal for the main stage production of Cavalleria Rusticana under Sir Antonio Pappano.
Singing Teacher
Alleyn’s School have just appointed Pamela as their first-ever Head of Vocal Studies, a newly-createdstrategic role which will involve creating and implementing a whole-school strategy for embedding singing into the culture of the school.
As an educator, Pamela has an extensive background in Accent Method and Alexander Technique, and has substantial experience working with children and beginner adults, as well as professional voice users from other fields like acting.
She has taught at Eton College, St Dunstan’s College, Jasspa, Kingsdale Foundation School, and has served as Head of Singing at Newton Prep, where she looked after the vocal health and technique of the elite cathedral choir and worked as Assistant Conductor.
Pamela’s pupils have gone on to study at music conservatoires, win choral scholarships for Anna Lapwood, record albums, sing at Glastonbury and even win a Grammy!
Choral Coach
Pamela has just been appointed Vocal Coach in Residence to the National Youth Choir, promoted after just one season as Vocal Lead for their 9-15 choir. She has lectured and mentored for NYC’s Emerging Professional Artists Fellowship, and has been filmed for the NYC’s newest initiative Supercharge!, their new permanent website resource.
She works frequently as a Choral Coach, working with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra’s SO Vocal, Pegasus Choir, and the Pop-Up Choir among others.
Her specialty is using her extensive knowledge of pedagogy to create play-based workshops and group singing lessons to help people find their voice and feel that singing is safe (physically and psychologically)… and therefore fun!
